Rider Cup 08/09

normaly i stick to the "neither praise nor condemn" rule
but in this case a lot of praise is required for todays
efforts.

Thanks guys...I worked on todays selections last night and will post when I'm happy with them.

Thanks Brian, I have a slightly different approach. I tend not to condemn as posting criticisms can often (and do) just end up in a raft of negative posts, which in my opinion is distracting, counter-productive and quite frankly a waste of energy. I do when I can, however, praise as there are some quite excellent members on here who regularly come up with 'the goods' and that is no easy feat given the vagaries of racing.

1. This aim of the 'list' is simply designed to limit the number of horses (IMHO) in each race for further consideration.

2. As always, I would then expect that you do further study, before placing any bet and would strongly advise against backing any / all of these selections blindly.

3. I compile the list in the morning. During live racing I may occasionally change a selection before the off. I suggest you check the list a minute or so before the off, to see if any changes have been made.

4. You can choose to have singles, doubles F/C's, accumulators, or even 'dutch' selections (depending how you bet). That is entirely up to you.

5. The first mentioned for each race is my main fancy. The others are the ones that I consider as dangers.

6. As racing proceeds, I find it theraputic to add a Beer and the winning odds to any selections that win. This is simply to show when a winner has occured and is not intended to suggest that I personally have had a winner, or even backed a selection - that is between me and my bookmaker.

Good luck whatever you decide to back today... Thumbs Up
