Some horse hate it wet and others relish it. I think I have found four that will relish todays prevailing conditions:

Panama At Once (1:30 Carlisle)
Not much hurdle form to go on and not run since April but will love the conditions. If fit and ready sure to go well and has been supported in the market this morning which is reassuring.

Knockara Beau (2:05 Carlisle)
Useful hurdler and won first time over fences at Cartmel in May once he had warmed to the task. Wetter the better and provided he is tuned up will run a big race.

Wychwoods Legend (3:30 Huntingdon)
Brings some good staying hurdle form to the table. Needed the race last time at Worcester. If he adapts to the bigger obstacles on his debut will be very hard to beat.

Lindseyfield Lodge (3:50 Carlisle)
Likely front runner and could establish a soft lead here. He will be very hard to peg back in the conditions and if his young pilot, who has won on him adopting similar tactics, gets on with it I expect him to collect.

Heavy going at Haydock today. I have found four that should love the ground based on speed ratings achieved on heavy going.

Wotchalike (12:50)
Boasts a 17% strike rate over hurdles, although a bit high in the handicap on what he has achieved, he stays well and on ground he has performed well on is a leading contender.

According To John (1:55)

Brings a touch of class to this race and if Nicky Richards has him tuned up
should give them all something to think about here. Can make the odd mistake as he did last time at Punchestown losing Davy Condon at the first, but if he manages a clear round and is ready he will take all the beating.

Mister Watzisname (2:30)
Beginners chases are not a medium I usually have a play in but I like the look of Charlie Longsdon's gelding here with question marks for the leading pair in the market. Gansey will he bounce? and Big Burrows distance too sharp for him?. Mister Watzisname showed a liking for the going when recording a decent rating in it last November at Carlisle, better than any rating his fellow competitors have achieved in any code on heavy or soft going, so armed with this knowledge I will have a punt on him.

Wizard Of Us (3:05)
Records show a 33% strike rate in 2 mile hurdles in heavy going. Brian Toomey takes off a valuable 7lb. I cannot believe he is the outsider in this field and is remarkable value at the 9/1 available with Stan James and Ladbrokes.

Very interesting, sandstorm. I have always held the view that heavy ground can offer real good betting opportunities. Wizard of Us could be one of those!

Be lucky!

Opened at 7's 13/2 in places but generally 6's and 5's. Got 9/2 BOG myself and it is now as low as 3/1.

Hopefully it wil do the business.
