Its back for another profitable season hopefully. Same as last season all bets are £20 per point.
One bet only today
HUGUENOT 4.00 Huntingdon lost
Phillip Hobbs the trainer sends just the one inmate all the way to Huntingdon today & his strike rate at the track indicates he doesnt waste many opprtunities to contribute towards the diesel. The horse appears to be one of the more modest in the yard and it is slighly off putting that Richard Johnson is not riding, however its worth a modest bet to start proceedings.
1pt win @ 6/1 taken

another quiet day, but just for an interest im going to have a NOEL FEILHY day at Uttoxeter on wednesday.
He has 3 booked rides.
3.25 HELLFIRE CLUB 3rd @ 11/1 5.35 CHAIN OF COMMAND 2nd @ 9/4
These two hail from the Malcolm Denmark owned yard. He has put a new trainer in residence called WJ GREATEAUX, its not a name im familiar with, indeed i bet i have spelt his surname wrong!
His first runner as a trainer was sent off a well backed 11/4 shot & was bang there until slipping & unseating Noel Feilhy, i would presume he is keen in knocking in a first winner for Mr Denmark his landlord, who has supplied Carl Llewlyn & Mark Pitman before him, some choicely bred national hunt types. HELLFIRE CLUB re-appears after an absence of 750+ days off when he was owned by Barry O'Connell the amateur jockey and business man from Ireland, who also liked to have horses with Mark Pitman and Carl Llewlyn, interesting he has sold him & the horse has been kept in training. CHAIN OF COMMAND is a FTO bumper horse. Back in the day, the yard used to like introducing useful types at midlands tracks before stepping them up in grade, so he is worth watching/betting in the concluding bumper for clues regarding his ability.
5.05 DENNY MAC unplaced
Gandolfo trained chaser, who had modest form in ireland & has shown modest handicapping chase form in this country also, the hook for me is the step back to 2m on a sharp track, i would expect the jockey to ride him handy and make use of his stamina.
stakes?...
Im loathe to risk to much of an outlay to be honest
0.25pt win double on the stable twosome
0.25pt each way treble on all three
i will also back them all in win singles 0.25pt x 3
1.5pts risked

Interesting stuff Chico-National hunt is my first love living a stones throw from what was once a great Fencing track(now crap although they are putting more fences back in). I had a line into the llewellyn stable but sadly no more since his bust up with Denmark.Got a few more irons in the fire and will post up with anything of value. G luck for the season.

4 catch my eye & i shall be supporting them as follows..
2.20 - CALATAGAN 0.5pt each way unplaced
3.30 - TEMPLER 0.5pt win won @ 17/2
4.05 - BOYCHUK 0.5pt win unplaced
5.15 - MISTER APPLES. This is my strongest fancy on friday afternoon. Rather than go for a big win on the selection, im going to have 3 x 0.5pt win doubles with the first three selections. goes without saying that i only need one to collect to have a juicy double running up on MISTER APPLES won @ 9/1, for an outlay of only 3.5pts.
profit so far..
