Right, only a day to go before the Breeders Cup gets underway so I'll get the ball rolling.

BC Classic

Zenyatta E/W @ 5/1 (Lads last Friday)

Zenyatta looks to extend her unbeaten 13 form 13 record by becoming the first Fillie or Mare to win the Breeders Cup Classic. She will be only the 4th Fillie/ Mare to run in the Classic and is looking to make history.

She won the BC Ladies Classic last year and has won 4 times this year. The only stubling block I can see other than running against the boys is the distance. Having never run over the distance you can not be sure that she will stay but her trainer John Shirreffs would not run her in the race if he didnt think she had a good chance.

It would have been easy to let her run in and win the Ladies Classic again then retire her with a perfect 14 from 14, but they obviously really think she can win the Classic.

Rip Van Winkle is fav over here but morning line in america make her fav.

Looks like it should be a great race and with the way Zenyatta runs hopefully she will come with her trademark late rattling run to win.

Any views on other races welcome.

BC Marathon - Mastery 2/1 WIN Lads - Didnt back it for the Ledger (Totally forgot) but had it e/w before when it ran 3rd in france. Looks genuine and worthy fav.

BC Sprint - Gayego 4/1 WIN - Sound sprinter and a real fighter. Should have every chance and has a good draw. NAP SAT

BC Mile - Gladiatorus 10/1 E/W Lads - Two turn mile should be right up his steet and can see him beating stablemate Delegator. Draw not great but price is good. 12/1 available generally.

BC Ladies Classic - Music Note 7/2 E/W Lads - 3rd last year to unbeaten Fillie Zenyatta who goes for the Classic this year. MN has run well of late and with Zenyatta out the way expect MN to go very close. Stable mate Cocoa Beach may upset the applecart.

Backed today
BC Juvenile Turf - Buzzword - 10/1 E/W Lads - Really impressed with the run behind Dick Turpin when staying on after getting boxed in. Won over in France but diappointed again after. Think the track will suit and dont want to miss what could be a good run.

so your keen on the godolphin horses then DCS Big Grin

RIP VAN WINKLE should win the CLASSIC , COLONEL JOHN e/w and SUMMER BIRD to complete the trifecta

I like the look of VISIT in the fillies and mares turf @ a decent price MIDDAY will be hard to beat and PURE CLAN can make up the trifecta here .

RAINBOW VIEW is one of my best bets of the weekend in the ladies classic ,around 7/1 here , soft ground turf horses tend to like the surface and GOSDEN is no mug when it comes to american racing ,

Dont know what you mean Big Grin I had originally posted a thread "Godolphin @ The Breeders Cup". Godolhin have had now winners since 2001 but stable is in cracking form and I fully expect a few winners between them, Gayego especially.

Think RVW is looking more and more backable at 9/4 and if the morning line are making Zenyatta thier fav then it could be a great dutch bet on the american PM. 5/1 E/W looked massive on Zenyatta, esp when RVW was 5/4-6/4.

MASTERY @ 2/1
HOUSE OF GRACE @ 5/1
VISIT @ 12/1
DEVIL MAY CARE @ 6/1
VENTURA @ 11/10
RAINBOW VIEW @ 13/2
####################

Have done a Euro10 Trixie and 5 e/w treble on these three.

In between the races, there is a good fight on SS1. Paul McCloskey to win in rounds 5 or 6 at 10/1 to get a few more quid for Rainbow View!!

I'm a big fan of the BC. It's definitely the Olympics of the horse racing season. The only place you will see the yanks, Godolphin and Aidan O'Briens lot in the same place at the same time, however I feel that this year has been weakened by the absence of Sea the Stars and Rachel Alexandra.

Personally I can't see Henry Cecil tasking any honours although it would be a fitting end to his season. I think the yanks are going to have too much firepower. Place money at best

Rachel Alexandra has been the class horse of the season in America and the only horse to get close to her this season was Mine that Bird. He is 25/1 for tomorrow nights big race which represets a cracking E/W bet, and my only bet of the meeting

GL to everybody

I don't usually play the USA scene, but this breeders I will be playing.

I got talking to someone today who said NEVER take the prices on USA racing because the return can be much larger oddswise!

Now I have not really got a clue here and would appreciate any advice on this subject, bearing in mind I am likely to back a few tonight!

Any ideas/comments?

Well done to anyone who made a profit on day 1, a tricky start for most punters but the best is yet to come.
