Just thought id write my thoughts (for what there worth lol) on tonights semi-finals at bellevue.
In the first, you have barnfield on air deservedly 1/3F did a very good time on his first trial run around there and knocked over ten spots off that to brake the track record next time round. the only reservation i have is that there is a couple of dogs in 1 and 5 with early and with barnfield on air drawn 4 'could' get into a spot of trouble, barring accidents however he should win. the way i see the race being run is that the 1 should break and lead up into the first with 4 and 5 behind, the 4 with no trouble will fetch him out but i am not so sure about the 5 dog i see him more of a front runner and if he is not there at the first, you may not see the best of him. Prediction 4-1-5
In the second, i think it is too hard to call, if the 6 gets a clear run out wide will have a decent chance, the one i would like to see lead is the 3 dog at 7/1. any improvement on his last sectional of 4.28 should see him up there at the first and if he gets round in front i think we may see a different dog and possibly the winner. as i said, it is a very open race and one which i dont have a strong fancy in. Prediction 3
In the third and final semi, look no further than the 1 boherna on air, with a clear passage he will win but maybe not as far as some of you will think or with a great time. i have seen him run a few times now and always seems just to do enough. there is no spectacular times or distances but always a 1st next to his name, i seem to think he is a dog that knows what he has to do, he wont stop running untill he is infront when he does hit the front, i think he slows down a little saves a bit, when another dogs comes to challenge him, he goes again, thats the only way i can describe his times. one week hell do a 29.00 and win, next week hell do a 30.00 and still win. no matter what the times he is a winning machine. Prediction 1 NAP
...non runner in the first trap 5 farloe hurricane doesnt run, 4-1 straight forecast looks a certainty now but no idea what the price might be at a guess.....pay about...£1.70 lol i no its no price but its a winner. anyone else have any views on tonights racing?
barnfield on air broke his previous track record last night after posting a 27.20 ! knockin 12 spots off his previous run he also did a 4.13 sectional, the fastest i have ever seen at bellevue, he must of took about 4 length out of them just to the first ! lol, this dog is something else. we got the forecast up, 4-1 but not as i expected, i thought the 1 was sure to lead...lol when you start posting 4.13 sectionals, you are sure to be in front at the first. forecast paid £1.68 which isnt bad in a five runner race where you have a 1/4F. in the second semi of the night trap 3 didnt lead up which blew his only chance the race was won by trap 4 the 20/1 outsider who also posted a very quick sectional of 4.16. trap 6 got a decent run but couldnt catch the 4 after his flying start. the third semi saw boherna on air win his ninth straight race after leading into the first. punters should of known the outcome after he got round trouble-free and once infront...lol it was really all over. the final on tuesday live on sky cant wait, if anyone knows the trap draws and could post them up on here that would be gratefully appreciated. barnfield vs boherna depending on the draw, i think boherna has a chance its not a one dog race thats for certain. the faster the dogs around boherna the faster hell run, admittedly he has never run against someone as fast as barnfield before so it is a test for him, but no-one knows how much he has got in his 'locker' and if the prices are right and the draw i may have a little on boherna.
cheers trainer layer...difficult draw for boherna with a lot of early paced sorts on his inside. i will put a rite up about the race up early next week, and hopefully win everyone a bit of money...heres hoping lol
finals night tonight, with the 1/3F in 1 lol i dont think anyone can say he hasnt a great chance to take the race. i thikn he may well break his previous track record around here again tonght, then go on to bigger and better things. if he repeats his last sectional time, he will be a couple of legths clear at the first and with that clear run looking imminent, should be winning. his only possible danger (the 5 boherna on air) must get a clear run and not give the 1 dog too much lead goin round the first, to be in with a shout. i see the 'post hasnt even put the 5 dog in there first 3 ! lol so, with a 1/3F there isnt really much point in betting that unless, you have a lot of money to make it worthwhile, even then, the possibilty that the 5 could get round and give him a race, i dont see how you could bet 3's on about the 1. i think the best bet is betting w/o the fav. as most bookmakers are doing now, at 9/4 the 5 w/o i think that is a good bet and with the 'post not placing the 5 in the first three, you may well get bigger than that come closer to the off. i think tonight we will see how good barnfield and boherna really are with clear runs apiece. prediction 5 w/o 1
in the earlier marathon race we have the big three going at it again, bubbly kate in 2, spiridon louis in 3 and head iton jordan in 6. the last time these three met, spiridon louis beat bubbly kate who in turn, beat head iton jordan, i think the 6 dog, head iton jordan wont be winning tonight barring all accidents, so now we have it to a 2 dog race. last time out, spiridon lead for most of the race and bubbly kate got into all sorts of bother, and turning for home, spiridon was stopping. . . and fast but the line came just in time, he held on to win. while i was at the track i was told by someone connected to spiridon, that he will be alot fitter next time out and wont be stopping as was the case that night. i have seen bubbly kate run a few times now and has looked spectacular on occasions (ie breaking walthamstows track record) but the more i see of her, the more she always seems to get into trouble. with a clear run tonight there is no doubt i would be with bubbly kate,will she get a clear run tonight? whos knows lol i certainly dont, she has a better draw this time and i would fully expect her to lead up the 1, with relativly slow starters in 1,4 and 5, the three that head the market should have the race sown up by the first bend and with that in mind i cant see how bubbly kate could get into that much trouble tonight. for that reason i would have to go with her at around 11/10. prediction 2
Nice write up DP. Barnfield on Air looks a cert to me but as you say at 1/3 i'm not going to get rich with my small stakes so the bet i have taken is Barnfield On Air to win by over 3.5 lengths 15/8.I also think your right in backing T5 without the fav, one other bet i liked in the race was a match bet between T2 Kylegrove Top and T6 Droopys Wells i have taken Evens on the 6 dog winning that battle. The marathon has to many ifs about it for me so will just be doing T3 Spiridon Louis in multiples. i dont have no fancies no sorry, jock i rarely even lok at graded cards, very unlucky last night not sure how many of you watched the races, bubbly kate, ran a blinder to finish a close third after getting bumped on the run-up after the 1 dog veered right staright out of the traps, in the final, trap 5 boherna on air, would of anialated the field, yes even the 1 dog, had he just got round ahead of that 3 dog, but it wasnt to be, got in all asorts of bother and finish out of the frame. i cant wait till he runs again however and i would love him to be up against barnfield on air again. the favourite didnt break last night but there wernt many excuses for him, if he was good enough he would of won. . . but he didnt, cant believe the 2 won however, if you wtch them going into the first, he was stone last, if you watch them coming out of the first, hes in front lol, sorry for the losing tips everyone but you cant always read how/when/if trouble is on the cards.
