Owner Dave Gregory vented his anger publicly when his dog was not accepted for the Pall Mall (final at 9.45) the dog posted 26.65 in a pre event workout, a time non of those in the final tonight can match.Clearly connections will be out to prove a point tonight something that shouldn't be lost on punters.
Very interesting angle can be backed around the 5/2 mark iv'e had a few shillings on with bet 365 because of there sky dogs 2/1+ offer which if it wins i get a free bet of the same stake on the next race.
Daves a good friend of mine, - I have dogs with Paul Sallis too and it's not often he gets irate! - I was with him when he bought the dog - called Perry as he was bought at "Perry Barr" sales :-)
I was on Drink up Zorro for the Mall at 50s bt he was wd lame before the semis
If Perry gets out to bend 1 in the lead tonight, I'd expect him to go on and lead - any 11-4 / 3-1 still going would be a worthwhile bet
Dave has 2 others out tonight, Keljo Cheveyo and Keljo Keane. I had a decent bet of Chevvy last week but he was beaten by a dog my dog "Concerto" had touched off the week before! he's be worth a small bet
I'd fancy Keljo Keane aka "Robbie" to be close at a nice price in the Marathon - perhaps not winning but hes a dog that always gets behind early on and picks them off one by one - he gives the impression the distance will suit
