Hi all Yeah, Mugz, I'll have a go. I agree with Auls about picking before qualifying. The practice sessions can be a little misleading sometimes but might spring a few surprises! Hi Lurcher, just got in from night shift but will put something up on your thread in Sports & Specials in the next day or two
I also agree that picking before qualifying makes most sense. Also, just a thought, but how about picking more than one driver from group C? That way the scrapping for the minor places (which is usually more competitive than at the front) has extra significance?
It might make sense to make the groups 5-5-10 for the start as Button is now into 5/1 outright, and that fits neatly into a 1-1-2 pick format.
GROUP A -------- Kimi Räikkönen Fernando Alonso Felipe Massa Lewis Hamilton Jenson Button
GROUP B -------- Sebastian Vettel Robert Kubica Nick Heidfeld Rubens Barrichello Heikki Kovalainen
GROUP C -------- Jarno Trulli Timo Glock Mark Webber Nelsinho Piquet Nico Rosberg Kazuki Nakajima Sebastien Buemi Sebastien Bourdais Giancarlo Fisichella Adrian Sutil
Nothing I enjoy more than watching spoilt millionaire brats burning off thousands of gallons of fossil fuel driving round in circles in a puerile attempt to go faster than each other.
Meanwhile in a far away third world country some poor sap is trying to get his 30 year old moped to run on chicken **** in a vain attempt to put enough food on the table to save his family from starving.
Hi Mugz One rule you should perhaps consider (having fallen foul myself last year when I did a Fantasy GP at work). The FIA release ‘Unofficial’ results shortly after the race. The cars have to go to Parc Ferme for scrutineering, then the results are amended or made ‘Official’. This normally takes two to three hours. With so many new rules this year & already noises being made about challenging the legality of the Williams, Toyota & Brawn rear diffusers, appeals could take a couple of weeks before any results are changed. I therefore suggest you make the ‘Official’ results the ones to go by, regardless of any later appeals. Hope that makes sense! The ‘Official’ results are found on this website (I think Lurcher put it up earlier) http://www.formula1.com/

Thanks for pointing that out Charlie. Im not sure waiting 2 weeks for results is good for the comp, but I guess theres not much choice. We will process the results as soon as possible after the race and make ammendments if the official result is changed.
