Like the Tim O'Glock joke lol I only doubled up Trulli/Trulli Glock/Glock etc! Unfortunately I don't think Trulli will win. I'm pretty sure it's Vettels race to lose, but I'll still be happy with that
Massa...small win, large podium. He's heavy with fuel & has the KERS system. I reckon a podium bet, although short @ 2.4 on BF is a cracking bet. Trulli...Medium Podium bet Glock...Medium Podium bet Buemi...Medium points finish bet
Brawns acceleration should make Button a firm favourite for this race, and if he gets pole then its game over. Think this is a maximum bet before the likes of Ferrari catch up. Boylesports are 5/2 and I will be filling my boots.
Hi Stevie Yep...quite right mate. Good price for Button considering he's won 4/5! Now as big as 3/1. But I've also got a feeling for Barrichello...happy enough now, but still smarting from his Barcelona defeat where he voiced the opinion (or maybe it was the press lol) that he wasn't being treated equally. Well, I trust Brawn when he insists they both have the same chance...for now. I got 9/1 for him this morning (e/w). I also fancy Trulli...Toyota have been a big disappointment this year but I still expect them to do something sooner or later. He's a red hot qualifyer & if he can get a good grid position here, then he could well be in the mix (got 20/1 e/w this A.M.) Another one I fancy for a big price podium is Rosberg. At 10/1 (this A.M.) I've had a dabble at that! My F1 bets haven't done too well this year, so follow me in at your peril (anyone who's looking in lol ) Button...Large win bet (got 9/4) Barrichello...medium e/w (9/1) Trulli...small e/w (20/1) Rosberg...medium podium (10/1) Any result would give me a profit! Good luck
9/1 on Barrichello looks good Charlie, still happy with Button and I think today will see him take pole poistion.
I like Rosberg but I wouldn't trust him with my cash, so I have had a small bet on his team mate Nakajima for a top 6 finish at 11/1 my other small bet is Kovalainen for a podium at 20/1. Hopefully one of these bets will help cover my Button investment if it goes wrong.
Well, that's half the job done, Stevie...went in again yesterday at 3/1 for Button, so pretty relieved to see him on top! P&*%ed off with Trulli (& Toyota in general) but hopefully Rosberg can make the podium & your Kovalainen & Nakajima bets could yet yield something..let's hope so Have to work tomorrow so won't see the race till I get home & doubt if I can avoid hearing the result before I do Good luck to both of us lol
Nice call with button and Nakajima. The latter is heavy on fuel and if he can keep it on the black stuff could get it into the top 6.
Odds are skinny now but if Button gets round the first corner in front he should walk it, even if he slots in behind Kimi his couple of extra laps should see him leapfrog him in the pitstops so will go with Button. I think his only threat will be his teammate so will stick some on Barrichello to cover.
Other very small interest bets
Mark Webber or Alonso to podium around 7s - the way the Ferraris have been performing you can see one of these guys grabbing third.
Fastest lap, Barrichello at 5s and Rosberg at 16s, have 3 out of five between them so far this year.
To retire first Button and Raikinnen around 25s - you never know what might happen with both going for that first corner together!!
Good luck to all.

Yep, a great result...I went a good bit over my 'comfort zone' when I went in on Button again at 3s, so was brickin' it before the race, but as you say a 'cake walk' & I'm well happy. Hope you got a reasonable price for Button in the end Marauder. I still can't believe (even at 9/4) how big the price for Button was! I would imagine the bookies took a hit! Think I'll wait & see after the practice sessions before betting on Turkey. I wonder if Monaco flattered the Ferraris a bit. Vettel struggling a little at the moment & Webber must be full of confidence after his recent results. The McLarens looked really good & again, maybe Monaco flattered them a bit. Whilst I think the championship will go to Button & Brawn, hopefully there will be a bit more competition for them & an exciting nseason ahead.

Hi all..well, a very poor race for betting! Button about 11/10, Vettel about 13/8 & I can't really see anyone else winning! I think Button will win, he's got a slightly heavier fuel load & Brawn the master tactician on his side...but at the price it's not a bet for me. The 'points finishers' betting is also very poor with the likely ones poorly priced. For me it's almost a no bet race but...got to have some sort of dabble lol. So, I've plumped for 4 small podium bets, in the hope that one will come in (though not at all hopeful!) Rosberg & Glock @ 14/1, Heidfeld @ 20/1, & Nakajima @ 33/1. Just enough to keep me interested, but I really can't see past the obvious choices for win, podium or points unless something dramatic happens at the start!!! Good luck if you do have a bet
Charlie - just a quick bit of advice to take a look at betfair if your looking for outsider prices on the f1. iv found them to be a lot better recently
Cheers Leeds, I try to avoid Betfair cos I keep blowing my money on silly bets lol...trying to be a bit sensible with the F1 bets (he says betting on 4 no-hopers ha ha ha)
Lets hope Massa makes a full recovery. The car cam shows that after the impact of the object with his helmet he just drove in a straight line into the tyre wall.
Hi Mugz Yes, a very nasty accident...it's easy to forget just how dangerous this sport is. We get used to seeing big accidents & drivers walking away from them & although this was a freak accident, they're just waiting around the corner. Happily Massa seems to be ok after surgery on a fractured skull. This from the F1 website...
"Felipe Massa’s condition was described as ‘stable’ on Sunday morning, with Ferrari confirming that there were no complications overnight following the Brazilian’s successful surgery for a skull fracture at Budapest’s AEK Hospital.
Massa sustained the fracture and concussion during his high-speed crash at the Hungaroring in Saturday’s qualifying session, in which he was struck on the head by a spring from the Brawn car of Rubens Barrichello.
After surgery he was put into an induced coma, a standard procedure following such an operation, and remained under observation in intensive care overnight.
"After undergoing an operation yesterday afternoon, Felipe Massa's condition remains stable and there were no further complications through the night,” said a Ferrari statement.
"He will be given another CT scan today, which will provide more precise information."
Hi Mugz I am on holiday from Thursday for two weeks, will the entries be up for the next race otherwise I will end up with two defaults which is the max you are allowed.
As they are racing on Bank Holiday weekend a few people could be away so I'll put up 2 threads with the same selection groups. It might mean that the 4 picks are obvious for Belgium, but we'll give it a go.
Hi Mugz I see you've still got Nelson Piquet in the list for Valencia...he's been given the boot finally & is replaced by Romain Grosjean...no, I haven't heard of him either lol!
