COMPETITION RULES

1. SEASON STRUCTURE
For the purpose of this competition the F1 season is split into three sectors as follows:

(a) Sector 1 : Race 1 - Race 8
(b) Sector 2 : Race 9 - Race 16
(c) Sector 3 : Race 17 (Grand Finale)

2. DRIVER SELECTION
Select ONE driver from each of the FOUR selection groups.

NOTE - The selection groups may change between races. Always select from the groups posted in the current race thread.

3. POWER DRIVE RACE (PDR)
A player can choose ONE PDR in each of sectors 1 and 2. When a PDR is chosen the points scored by a players 3 selected drivers are DOUBLED.

Please post PDR alongside the selections in the OFFICIAL RACE THREAD.

4. GRAND FINALE
In Race 17 points scored by all players are DOUBLED.

5. CHANGING SELECTIONS & EDITING POSTS
A player CAN edit entries to change selections or to add a PDR.

Please note that if the edit time is after the entry deadline the post is void and the player will score 0 points for the race.

6. POSTS WITH SCRATCHED DRIVERS
If an entry contains a driver that doesnt start the race, a default selection will be given (see 8).

7. ENTRY DEADLINE
The entry deadline for R12 is 1300 BST on Sat 29 August 2009.

If an entry is posted after the entry deadline it will be void and a default entry given to that player (see 8).

8. DEFAULT ENTRY
If no entry is received a player will be given a default entry which is the driver with the lowest car number in each selection group.

NOTE - A maximum of 2 default entries is permitted per player in the competition.

9. RACE SCORING

Scoring will be based on official race result published on www.f1.com

1st - 120 pts
2nd - 60 pts
3rd - 40 pts
4th - 30 pts
5th - 20 pts
6th - 10 pts

NB. a DEAD HEAT 1st would score (120+60)/2 = 90pts

WIN BONUS POINTS

20 pts - winning margin 10.00 secs or more.

PDR selections score double points.

10. ABANDONMENT
If a race is officially abandoned all selections are void for that race.

11. COMPETITION WINNER
After 17 races the player with the most points WINS !

12. TIE BREAKER
If one or more players are tied for a prize winning position, the player with the most race wins from the 17 races wins.

If still tied the player with the highest score on the final race wins.

If still tied the player posting first on the final race wins.

13. PRIZES

1st - €100 FREE BET
2nd - €50 FREE BET
3rd - €25 FREE BET
4th - €15 FREE BET
5th - €10 FREE BET

POWER DRIVER - €25 FREE BET (top score on PDR races only)

GRAND FINALE - €25 FREE BET (top score on R17 only, only top 15 players after R16 qualify)
