Samuel Peter vs. Vitali Klitschko Boxing fans waited a long time for this news – Vitali Klitschko is back in the ring! On October 11th Dr. Ironfist returns to challenge WBC world heavyweight champion Samuel Peter from Nigeria. The long awaited fight for the WBC belt will be held in the O2 World, a brand new arena with a capacity of 13.000 spectators in Berlin, Germany.
After his retirement in 2005 Vitali Klitschko was named as “WBC Champion Emeritus”, a status that enables him, in case of a comeback, to challenge the current WBC-Champion right away.
The current WBC-Champion Samuel Peter – The Nigerian Nightmare - is 27 years old and has an impressive record of 30 wins, 23 by KO und just one defeat by unanimous decision against Wladimir Klitschko in September 2005. This March Peter deposed WBC champion Oleg Maskaev by KO in round 6. Now he will defend his title for the first time against the former Champion Vitali Klitschko.
Samuel Peter: “There´s no doubt that I´m going to defend my title. Klitschko is an experienced fighter and an unpredictable opponent, but I´m younger and better. I will beat him first and afterwards I will take care of his brother – there´s still some unfinished business left!”
Vitali Klitschko is 37 years old and his record stands at 35 wins, 34 by KO und 2 losses due to injury. From 1999-2000 Klitschko was WBO world heavyweight champion and WBC champion from 2004-2005. Until his retirement Klitschko was the undisputed #1 heavyweighter in the world.
Vitali Klitschko: “I´m glad to be back in action to compete for the world championship. Samuel Peter is a dangerous puncher, who has proven his skills against some top opponents. I know it will be a hard fight, but I´m going to fulfill my dream – becoming world champion for the third time and Wladimir and me becoming the first heavyweight brothers in history to hold championships at the same time. The new O2 World und my fans in Berlin will make sure, that it will be the perfect place for such a big event.”
The fight will be broadcasted live in Germany by RTL, in the US on Showtime, and many more countries internationally.

This fight will be in Germany,Vitaly's second home
Vitaly is much better and stronger then Samuel.
I was watching Samuels fights,it's a joke,guy is fat,short and slow.Vitaly will kill him.
Anyway Klichko wants his belt back and he will get it.Probably KO in 4th or 5th round.
Mind you Klichko only lost 2 matches due to injures and 1 of them was against Lenox(When fight was stopped Klichko was winning by 2 points).
The only reason why Samuel agreed for this fight because boxers will split money in half 50%/50%.So even when Samuel will be on the floor he will still get 50%.
Should be an easy bet
Vitaly Klitschko @1.66

Jez what do u expect from man after almost 4 years break? He didn't leave Peter any chance.Vitaly won every single round and Samuel just quit fight as he knew Klitchko would kill him in the end.
Anyway i like the start of the fight with all famous boxers wishing Vitaly the victory.
My bet won and Klitchko is still numero uno

Haye could fight heavyweight champ Klitschko in London
Wladimir Klitschko says proposed talks with David Haye over a heavyweight world title fight came to nothing.
IBF and WBO belt-holder Klitschko said Londoner Haye, 27, the undisputed cruiserweight world champion, had to learn to "behave himself".
"Our meeting didn't even start, you can't talk to him, it's impossible, he's nuts," Klitschko told BBC Sport.
"He has great potential, but he has to put some weight on and get some fights as a heavyweight. Then we'll see."
Klitschko, 32, added that any match with Haye could not take place this year because he has mandatory defences to honour.
"This year is impossible because I have two (mandatories) in a row," said the Ukrainian, who is in London to promote the launch of the boxing charity, Fight for Peace.
"The WBO is going to be the next fight on 12 July (against America's Tony Thompson) and the IBF will be at the end of the year."
Haye has had one fight in boxing's blue riband division, a first-round stoppage of Poland's Tomasz Bonin last April, but plans to relinquish his cruiserweight belts soon and become a heavyweight full-time.
Klitschko has won 50 of his 53 professional encounters at heavyweight and is generally considered to be the most credible operator in a weak division.
"David Haye is a very loud guy," he said. "I was in New York and I heard him screaming from over here. But I can't have a conversation with this guy.
"His manager (and trainer) Adam Booth is a really nice guy and tried to calm him down, but we couldn't have a conversation, unfortunately it didn't work.
"He has to establish himself and let his fists talk, not just talk. None of the heavyweights made so much noise as him, but talk is cheap, he has to show what he can do.
"Will I see him in the ring or not? If he wants to accomplish his goal he has to go through me."
Haye called Klitschko's recent victory over Russia's Sultan Ibragimov "pitiful" and is convinced he can become Britain's first heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis retired in 2004.

Greatestrowerever
"I'd fight Wladimir Klitschko in my next fight if I could after his fight against Ibragimov," said Haye.
"That was embarrassing and he wouldn't look forward to fighting someone with my kind of style - powerful, explosive and able to take him out with any shot.
"I'm 100% certain that I'll achieve more things at heavyweight than I have done at cruiserweight.
"I'm not looking at boxing into my 31st year, so I've got two-and-a-half years to get the job done. If the titles get unified, hopefully I'll just have to fight one guy."
