And its easier to "get a trend" in the EPL?? Its not I think, because the info on this trend is picked up by so many more people so the price reacts so much faster.

Lower leagues ... well, how often do you see a 1.4 or even 1.55?? You do get more generous prices for taking a position on games I think.

Mate, you misunderstood me. I´m not saying it´s easier in the EPL, probably much harder like you say. I was simply critisising the way you named one correct tip as an argument on how much more value and easier it is in the lower league. One odd correct tip doesn´t mean jack (im not saying this to be hostile), it just simply doesn´t.

As i have said here before i did a disciplined betting strategy on the epl some years back betting on home win single. After just under 100 bets i had a 12% yield which is fair, but surely it had been going down.

However, it would be interesting to do a similar run in one of the lower leagues but then again im not familiar with those league so it would have to be somone else than me. Maybe you or someone you know has done it, would be very intersting to see the results.

Valuev is 2.38 at Betfair (2.31 after commission), and 2.30 at Canbet.

How many bets have u had at bet365? If u win 3-4 big bets there u will get closed down straight away...

yes i'll take the canbet price i would never use betfair for boxing or tennis bets they have a stupid policy regarding fights which are finishing prematurely by cuts etc..

not many on 365 mate.. but i know most conventional bookies online do limit your stakes if you win big apart from a few.

I know of a friend who had an acc't drastically cut (allowed to bet about 10pounds) after two bets.

It all depends on what you back, when you bet, how much that price firms etc...
If you are taking bad prices (under market value) but still winning, your account will survive a lot longer.

Breeder's Cup SANTA ANITA (USA) 21.28 1 M 0 F

DELEGATOR

S bin Suroor / L Dettori

@ 5/1

Another godolphin runner and one of the finest in the stable had great success during season, only fear is if the season has taken it's toll. Surroor says the horse is in better condition than he was last time at Ascot and track should suit him.

it's a punt in a pretty competitve field.

This is near enough a solid bet at fairly decent price you'll find at a breeders cup race and sir Michael's four year old should have a repeat preformance of last year.

(1 % stake max for horse racing )

Really? What am I doing wrong then?

I have had accounts at 15 bookmakers - and am making a reasonable annual profit (2-3k) on turnover of about 20K without any hassle, ANYWHERE with ANY bookie?

Perhaps it's because my stake is too small at €100 to €200 ?
Perhaps it's because I bet on mainstream games (and usually mainstream markets?)

No problems. EVER.

Could someone who has had a closed account at an online bookmaker please post more detail (in a seperate thread so as not to derail this one) and provide some detail on WHAT bets were taken?

Is it obscure markets? Or in-live betting? Or MASSIVE stakes?
What is it that causes these problems.

Please POST your PERSONAL experiences in a SEPERATE thread ot PM me - I'd like to get to the bottom of this issue!

Thanks
Thumbs Up

I never had a account shut down but in my younger days ! when i was immature and naive i only used william hill online and just bet with no knowledge of bank roll managment i used to go all out with bets so for eg..a typical bet would have been :

£3700 on Australia to beat England in a ODI cricket match @ 1.53

returning £ 5661 and then the following day id have £ 1500 thinking it was their money i had won and wagered on a prem league match @ 1.66 home win returning £2490 taking accont balance on to £6650 and make a third bet and having the entire amount on another ODI cricket win at the same price of 1.53 bringing it up to £10170 They would then limit my bets to something stupid to a couple hundred on cricket games and also reduce the limit on other events but not as much.

Boy i was a silly boy at that time it was only a matter of time when they got that money back from me : )

Following up from the breeders cup im having a little dabale on the 20/20 international between Pakistan and Newzealand with team news comiong in this morning that New Zealand will be without Kyle Mills James Franklin, (shoulder and back injuries ) Jacob Oram is also unavailable this is a good spot to get on pakistan to win thsi shorter format of the game after losing the ODI series.

Pakistan captain for ODI and Tests resigned yesterday beacuse he felt he had no longer control of this team there was a extreme dilike towards Khan ands no he's gone i feel the team will want to prove a point.

Pakistan to win @ 1.7 (betfair)

( 3% stake )

Lovemore Ndou v Matthew Hatton for the IBO welterweight world title.

Now usually i dont go on a hunch when i wager money but all the stats point to a Ndou victory by either Unanimous points verdict or a TKO victory. Ndou has fought world class fighters and has never been stopped by KO just to refresh.. He has fought Cotto,Malignaggi,Cintron and Witter all of whom he has suffered defeats to but let it be known losing to fighters like these is of no shame, just goes to show how tough Ndou is and credit to his chin because if guys like Kermit Cintron cannot stop you in your division there prob isnt many other who can.

Basically Ndou is a grade or two above Hatton in boxing skills but i just can't help but feel there will be a bad decision tonight i really do think the home crowd will influence the judges into giving this fight a split decision verdit in favour of Mattew Hatton, lets face it Hatton is not stopping Ndou so it comes down to the judges and i think there's going to be a robbery taking place tonight. Ricky hatton is promoting the fight and the location is a bit suspect to at the local fenton hall in stoke a much closer and smaller place compaired to if the fight was taking place in manchester.

It's a gamble but im taking Mattew Hatton to win by point or tech decision.

Hatton by Decision/Tech Dec @ 4.4 ( betfair )

(0.10 % stake )

A wrong word and a wrong thinking. 1st rule:
Estimate % (with your reasoning), check the odd, bet on value. If you must bet, then find the best book thats offering the best price.

I actually liked what you wrote about Valuev & Haye but boxing is not my "betting sport". I was tempted ,to be told truth, but without my own research I would never put serious money.

This a typical bet when you were still learning???? Eek.

Guessed that you've good knowledge on boxing and cricket. Can you start a new thread on those( eg. Kassahype's cricket and boxing bets)? It'll be really a helpful here.

And don't ask for Manchester City Big Grin

Sure i'll make a new thread for boxing and cricket tips only, BTW the Hatton fight was ruled as a draw it was a robbery and Ndo was the theif because Hatton clearly had won that fight.
