as captain of England both for Tests, 1-days (and 20/20 too I think?)
Good, bad or indifferent?
For me, no problem with 1-dayers or 20/20.
Must say initially my thought was that for the Test side, it would be better to bring in someone new, like Robert Key, who has plenty of experience leading a County side. Had more than enough examples of best batsmen having their style cramped by extra responsibilities; do we NOT need more of that, esp currently.
On the other hand - could it be the making of him, David Beckham style?
think KP is that confident, it wont affect the way he bats and he'll still score runs, what i am concerned with is his lack of experience as a captain, he's going to have to learn very quickly with a tough tour of India coming up, followed by the much anticipated Ashes series.
Would also love to see Vaughan back in the side as a batsman in form, his record against the Aussie's is pretty good.
