Davina McCall kicks off the ninth series of the ultimate reality TV show with the first chance to meet the new contestants selected to live together over the coming weeks.
She gets a sneak preview of the house before the latest batch of hopefuls introduce themselves to the nation and the cameras are switched on to record the group's first moments together.
This year's house will include a stand-up comic, a DJ and a deported American. One contestant will be a Buddhist, while another is Muslim.
Three of the housemates have children, three were born outside the UK, one starred in a film with Hugh Grant, while another has had a breast enlargement.
One contestant has never watched the show, another owns a £13,000 watch and the oldest housemate is 42.
who designed that chair? just gross LOL Would take a very wet summer indeed to get me watching. Intro music is brilliant - then it's the big switch off
Davina McCall presides over the grand finale of Big Brother 2008, as the remaining housemates anxiously wait to see who will walk out of the house with the ultimate prize of £100,000. The contestants have danced, sung and licked their way through the 93 days, but only one person can be declared the winner.
10.00 - 11.05pm CH4 Big Brother Finale
The tensions mount as the housemates await their fate, knowing only one can be crowned the winner and walk away with the £100,000 prize. Davina McCall presents the final result.
Ive seen very little of this years BB, but as we enter the final day, and theres no soccer on tonight, Ive backed RACHEL at 7/2 (Paddy Power, BET 365).
Wales has had 2 runners up in BB to date from very few contestants, and neither of those had a hope in hell of beating the eventual winner. So we have a weaker fav in Mikey who has apparently contributed enough comedy moments to make him the betting fav, but he might struggle to get the all important phone vote. Rachel has been pretty solid all series and as far as I can see is the only alternative to Mikey. The voting for this series is likely to be less than previous ones as interest in the concept dries up, and when the voting is low you have a chance of an upset. I think Rachel is a good 7/2 chance. Dont underestimate the Welsh vote.
