Agree Mugz, and as an aside I used to live very near Dove Mountain course in the Tortolita Mountains in North west Tucson, gorgeous place, fabulous views down over Tucson to Mexico. There was a herd of wild horses in the mountains, don't know whether they are still there; there has been a development of walking trails through the Mountains starting right next to the course in Wild Burro Canyon. Good luck to all of us on Tiger.

JONES 11/8 WOODS 2.5pts WIN 1st & 16/1 POULTER 0.2pts E/W HOGAN 7/2 SCOTT & 14/1 ALLENBY PLAYER 7/1 ROSE 0.5pts E/W & 12/1 WESTWOOD SNEAD 8/1 DONALD & 12/1 CINK 0.3pts E/W
OUTRIGHT T WOODS 1.5pts E/W @ 3/1 (1/2 1-2) 1st
BALANCE + 7.31 (Inc 10pts WOODS to win MASTERS)
Good week after focusing totally on the WGC Accenture Matchplay. Woods won the Jones Bracket, Cink won the Snead Bracket and Woods won overall.
Althouth the theory of betting Woods to get a pay out at differing stages returned a lower ammount than backing him to win outright it gave the oppotunity to get a return if he got knocked out.
Onwards and upwards. Profit in the bank and an Ante Post bet on the Masters.
I'm please that I'm showing a profit at least. Keeping a thread going has caused me to be a lot more selective. Only focused on the WGC last week and it paid off, could have lost 3-4pts by backing on the LPGA or the other US event.
Think it might be time to put some of the winnings on Tiger Grand Slam.
Cheers for the feedback as it does get lonely on here.
This weeks picks will be up laer today (Always like to post before Racing Post comes out)
L DONALD 0.25pts E/W @ 25/1 (Good finish a few weeks back with a T3rd, past winner although not on this course & Accurate tee to green) B WEEKLEY 0.25pts E/W @ 25/1 (lost in a play off last year, played well at Accenture)
HSBC WOMENS CHAMPIONS
L OCHOA 1.31pts WIN @ 5/2 (First week back on tour but 5/2 looks fair, often couldn't get more than 7/4 last year. Sorenstam is coming back to form and could be one to keep on side of this year)
Donald looked to have played himself out of this with a +4 over par 74 on day 2, but went on to shoot a -4 under par 66 on day 3 to share the lead. Unfortunately Els played some good golf and posted -6 and Donald was unable to birdie the 17th or 18th after having 2 reasonable oppotunities.
OCHOA lead by 7 after 2 rounds and went on to win by 11 shots.
BALANCE + 11.40 (Inc 10pts WOODS to win MASTERS)

T JAIDEE 0.25pts E/W @ 25/1 (Owned this event for a few years and always seems to play well in this neck of the woods)
R MCILROY 0.15pts E/W @ 40/1 (Steady young player who will pop up now and again while finding his feet on tour)
W-C LIANG 0.1pts E/W @ 50/1 (Should have had a top five finish a few weeks ago, has had a couple of top 10's in this and looks a lively outsider)
Often get some random winners of these events and so small stakes this week.
PODS CHAMPIONSHIP
J ROSE - 0.45pts E/W @ 20/1 (Backed him first time out a few weeks back and he didn't perform too well but after a reasonable showing last week, Justin was one of 6 people out of 77 who shot under par in the final round, he looks to be coming into form)
J DURANT - 0.15pts E/W @ 40/1 (50/1 taken @ local Independent) (3 top 5 finishes in this event and reasonable form with 4 top 20's of late)
M JONES - 0.1pts E/W @ 66/1 (80/1 taken @ local Independent)(Played well last week and went chasing pins in the final round in an attempt to win. Didn't happen for him but this yound man has a cracking swing and has made the cut in all his events so far this season. Another bold show is expected)

Poor choice to get involved with the Euro Tour before the first round.
Woke up this am and saw Nick Dougherty's -10 score playing te 7th and thought it must have been a replay of another tournament due to a rain delay He had actually started on 10th and WAS -10.
If I had waited I would now be backing D Vancsik @ 18/1 and as such I will back him 0.25pts E/W 1/4 1-4places.
Woods finds himself in the final pair which is bad news for O'Hair, but what about Vijay who partners Mahan today. That looks like a 2 ball that could score low and produce a winner. Woods is most vulnerable in low scoring events, and although I would not lay him at 1.88, but there must be a bit of value in opposing him by backing say Mahan and Singh at around 5.4 coupled.
Tiger Woods made a 25-foot birdie putt on the final hole Sunday to win the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by MasterCard by one shot, extending his PGA TOUR winning streak to five and keeping intact a perfect season in golf.
In his biggest challenge since this streak began seven months ago, Woods outlasted 45-year-old Bart Bryant and won with a birdie putt on the final hole for the first time in seven years.
Always a difficult venue to pick a winner but there are a few which catch the eye and a nice one at a big price.
B Dredge 11/1 - Fav but looks the class in the field. Previous winner and should be in the shake up.
F Aguillar 28/1 - Has won this year on tour and has had some reasonable finishes
S Luna 0.25pts E/W @ 50/1 - Plenty of top ten finishes at this course/event and looks to be a massive price @ 50/1
CA CHAMPIONSHIP @ DORAL
Another World Golf Event. Having won this event 6 times and winning over the course the last 3yrs (twice in the Ford Championship) I am going to have to back Woods again this week. Missed the party last week when trying to get up a cheeky double with Ochoa (Finished 7th after a horror start on day 1, possibly would have challenged if there had been a fourth day)
After shopping around I can still get 10/11 with a local bookie which looks outstanding.
T Woods 10pts WIN @ 10/11
V Singh 0.36pts E/W @ 12/1 W/O WOODS - looks to be coming back into form, has been placed here in the past
J Rose 0.25pts E/W @ 25/1 W/O WOODS - is playing some steady golf and plays well on difficult courses
PUERTO RICO OPEN
Probably going to be won my an outsider but the following two players have played well in the early part of this season
A Cejka - 16/1 D Hart - 33/1
B Dredge 11/1 - F Aguillar 28/1 - S Luna 50/1 x V Singh 12/1 - J Rose 25/1 - P Mickelson 8/1 x A Cejka - 16/1 - D Hart - 33/1

Hope you dont mind me adding my thoughts on this weeks golf at Doral and Madiera. Two speculative bets at decent prices that have taken my eye, small each way chances in my opinion.
WGC at Doral - I was tempted to make Goosen my choice this week as he has had some good finishes at Doral and he seems to be playing into some kind of form, although not nearly as good as the Goose of old. It was a tidy week at the Arnold Palmer just gone and tied 14th was a great result but he was never in contention and a lack of consistency means Ill be overlooking him - but wouldnt put anyone off backing him at silly odds of 100/1.
Anotehr 100/1 shot @ Ladbrokes is Nicolas Fasth. He partnered Ogilvy in the last round at the Arnold Palmer invitational and they were going hammer and tongs, threatening pins and the result was two good scores from two frightening players on there day. I liked Ogilvy but hes been backed from first show 66's to a top priced 40's - I missed the boat there but the tall Aussie is still prone to the occassional horror show, I still have nightmares of a 9 he took at the par 5 in one of the majors last year, US Open I think. Last year Fasth come to this event after missing the cut at the Arnold Palmer, then went on to finish 6th. This week he comes into the event on the back of a great finish at the AP, tied 8th - plus notably he is teeing off with Ogilvy for the first two rounds so hoping they will continue to feed off each others confidence and put in a good show.
WGC at Doral : Selection Nicolas Fasth @ 100/1
Madiera Golf - This seems to be a weak field in my opinion and Bradley Dredge is always chalked up favourite here with a load of fringe players knocking on the door. I dont like anyone who is at the front of the betting, Alexander Noren needs to be respected but hes no 18/1 shot. Lee Slattery played smartly here a few years ago but again, at 50/1 for someone who hasnt done much this year is easy to swerve. Having played this course before is key and although Ariel Canete was a modest 36th here 2 years ago that outing will still stand him in better stead than most. 66/1 is too big for a player who was competing with some of the worlds best after 3 rounds last week, only to fade when pay day come along - Ill forgive him for a mediocre last round mind. Unlike most of the players here he has won on the European Tour before in South Africa and he has the pedigree and now expereince to show well here.
Pick - Ariel Canete @ 66/1 Ladbrokes.
Im having £5 E/w singles and a £5 e/w double.
Best of Luck to everyone having a punt on a great weeks golf. Fingers Crossed )
I only managed to catch up with this tournament last night and saw that the leader was 5 shots ahead. Next placed man was Alistar Forstyh and the odds were 15/2, not a bad price going into a final round, so had a punt, I went on the basis of people throwing away big leads on the European Tour.

A frustrating golf tipping weekend for me. The shortlist as above was Ogilvy, Goosen and Fasth and I opted for the big Swede. Now Ogilvy and the Goose are fighting it out at the top, 66/1 and 100/1 shots
