This tournament starts at 6:00pm on Monday and it should be another cracking PDC event.

Now I am not sure which matches SKY will provide, but here is my brief analysis of the opening games.

James Wade v Tony Eccles

A superb match to start proceedings, and this looks to be a very close match, but I think Wade will get the edge here as he is very good with his finishes. The Viper is a high scorer and has to be respected, but if recent form is taken you would have to opt for Wade.

2pts - James Wade WIN

Dennis Priestley v Denis Ovens

A battle of the legends here and the odds are just about right, given that Priestley did well at the weekend. Priestley is a very slow player and that should prevent Ovens from getting an advantage in this match. Probably best to take a chance with Priestley getting more 180s......although I will also be having a punt on The Menace to win the game.

1pt - Dennis Priestley WIN

Adrian Lewis v Roland Scholten

With The Tripod (Scholten) not in the best of form, you would have to give Lewis a massive shout to get the job done here. Odds of around 1.44 seem short, but then again I would have expected around this mark since Scholten has not been at his best in recent tournaments.

3pts - Adrian Lewis WIN

Day 2 of the World Grand Prix 2008, and we have some very entertaining matches this evening.

Jacko Barry v Breden Dolan

Now many of you would not have heard of these players before, but I can assure you that this will be a quality match. Barry recently gave Raymond van Barneveld a huge fright in the UK Open at Bolton and is a player not to underestimate, but I will oppose him on this occasion and a small bet on Dolan looks to be the value. It is a tough match and yes it could go to the wire, but at odds of around 1.66, Dolan should prevail.

2pts - Breden Dolan (WIN)

John MaGowan v Colin Osborne

The final match of the evening and another one to look forward to, with both players in decent form.
Now before the Players Championship, I would have steamed into MaGowan to get the job done, but in that tournament Osborne was in awesome form and you would be a fool to go against him tonight. Yes I know the odds of around 1.33 are small, but it looks like the layers have got this one right, and I will be getting involved.

3pts - Colin Osborne (WIN)

Day 3 : -

Colin Lloyd v Kevin Painter

A tough match to call, as both players are in decent form. I`m edging towards to Painter, simply because he seems to perform better when under pressure and you sometimes have to question Lloyd's confidence as he is not the player he used to be. Even money for Painter is too big to be missed and we should get plenty of value with this selection.

2pts Kevin Painter (WIN)

Wayne Mardle v Dennis Priestley

You have to admire Wayne Mardle, as he has picked up his game in a huge way over the last few months. At one stage in his career, Mardle nearly packed the game in, due to very, very poor form, but he has since turned over a new leaf and is one player to follow now. Priestley has had some health problems of late, and is one of the oldest players on the circuit so you would think that being the last on stage this evening could be a little bit too much for him, especially with the crowd sure to be on Mardle's side.

1pt Wayne Mardle (WIN)

Day 4 : -

Terry Jenkins v Mark Walsh

In what should be a very competitive match, I would expect Mark Walsh to get the better of "The Bull". To be honest Jenkins has played very well of late and will be a very tough opponent for Walsh, but if you have watched Mark Walsh in his last 2 matches, he has proved he can be up there with the best players in the PDC. Both players are very high scorers, so maybe a dabble on over 5 - 180s is worth a few quid, but I will be having a decent single bet on Mark Walsh to win.

3pts - Mark Walsh (WIN)

John Part v Jacko Barry

Now there could be an upset on the cards here, as Jacko Barry will have plenty of local (Irish) support and that could give him a massive chance of beating Part. Then again, I would say that Part is in a different league to Barry and he is certainly the more likely man to prevail. Yes the odds of the around 1.22 (Bet365) are very short, but a winner is a winner and I will be getting involved here with a single bet on Part to win, and also Part to score more 180s.

2pts - John Part to score more 180s
2pts - John Part (WIN)
